‘Daniel Cummings earns West Ham promotion already’ after what he did
West Ham United are set to ramp up preparations for next season when they visit the United States this week.
The Hammers secured a 3-1 victory against Swiss side Grasshoppers on Saturday, with new signing El Hadji Malick Diouf impressing.
The result will have given Graham Potter plenty to think about going into their pre-season tour, with potential surprise omissions expected, which could open the door for younger players to shine.
Daniel Cummings is one of those.

Cummings and Sean Moore give Potter something to think about
With the Irons not doing much in the transfer window so far, it could open the door for young strikers Cummings and Sean Moore to join the first team on their American tour.
Signing a new senior striker is high on West Ham‘s priority list this summer, after the well-documented failures of Niclas Fullkrug last season.
Cummings and Moore were impressive for the under-21s despite their 4-2 loss to Maidenhead.
The young Hammers put on a late show with Moore providing a goal in the 82nd minute to reduce the deficit before substitute Josh Ajala added another in the 90th minute.
Though the loss against the National League side will be tough to take, Potter will be impressed with the under-21s’ willingness to carry on.
Cummings, who signed from Celtic at the start of July, worked tirelessly throughout and chased down every loose ball.
Cummings made his senior debut for the Bhoys in the Champions League last season and netted 23 goals in 26 appearances in the Lowland League for Celtic’s B team.
Moore, 20, signed for the Hammers in 2023 from Northern Irish club Cliftonville and has since impressed.
It feels a bit like now or never for the young winger to push into the first team, and should Potter not elect to pick him this summer, he could look for first-team football elsewhere.

West Ham shouldn’t abandon their youth
Amid potential big signings in the likes of Harvey Elliott and Douglas Luiz, it is important that the Hammers don’t forget about their youth.

Young midfielder Freddie Potts is a prime example of why West Ham should put trust in their youth as he looks to push into the first team this season.
The London Stadium faithful will hope that the Irons carry on their youth development with the likes of Moore and Cummins.
All eyes will be on the plane to the United States.
