Crysencio Summerville handed golden West Ham United opportunity after what Mohammed Kudus did
Mohammed Kudus was one of West Ham United’s best players under David Moyes last season.
Alongside Jarrod Bowen, the duo were one of the main reasons why the Hammers finished ninth in the Premier League.
This season, however, things have been a little different. Whether that’s due to the bust-up the attacker reportedly had with Julen Lopetegui or if things maybe just haven’t clicked, Kudus hasn’t refound the form he ended last season with.
Indeed, he’s still contributed to two goals this season but as the attacker has been involved in nine games already this term, it feels like a lacklustre return.
His recent international escapades with Ghana won’t have done him any favours either. In both of the Black Stars’ games against Sudan over the last week or so, the former Ajax man has been a shadow of his former self with Ghanaian media slamming him for his performances.
Hence why Crysencio Summerville could have just been handed a golden opportunity to prove his worth to Julen Lopetegui.
Crysencio Summerville given golden West Ham United chance
Summerville was brought in by the Hammers in the summer transfer window for a fee worth around £25million [Fabrizio Romano, 3 August].
Hammers fans were excited by his arrival but Lopetegui hasn’t yet afforded the former Leeds United man much of a chance.
The attacker has played eight times across all competitions thus far with only three coming as starts, two of those were in the EFL Cup.

If Kudus finds himself in poor form upon his return to the London Stadium, this could be the ideal time for Summerville to strike and prove his worth to the Hammers.
He’d be able to slot into his natural role of left-wing and perhaps rekindle some of his Championship goal-scoring form from last term, which would be a win-win for both parties.
If Lopetegui doesn’t afford the Dutchman at least a chance at the first team, he’ll surely be left questioning why he chose to leave Leeds in the summer.
