Wolves without Raul Jimenez and Hwang Hee-Chan for West Ham United clash

West Ham United welcome Wolves to the London Stadium on Saturday evening and Bruno Lage has some injuries to worry about.

The Molineux club have suffered a similarly disappointing start to the Premier League season with just two more draws seeing them above the Irons in the table.

Lage, however, has confirmed that they will be without talismanic striker Raul Jimenez once again when they head to the capital, as The Athletic’s Steve Madeley shared on Twitter, as well as Hwang Hee-Chan.

The South Korean picked up an injury while on international duty and therefore misses the trip south from the Midlands but there could be a Wolves debut for Diego Costa.

The bullish Spaniard is in the squad for the game but Lage is uncertain whether he will start the game yet while Adama Traore is also back in the fold.

One will do

If David Moyes is keen not to lose Saturday’s encounter with Wolves, then he should be safe knowing that one goal could be enough to kill the game off.

Lage’s side have been very poor at creating and then taking chances so far this season and looked toothless in their last game against Manchester City, albeit when they were down to 10 men.

It is set up to be a game that should kickstart either side’s season if they are to pick up all three points and even though West Ham are below Wolves in the table, they have looked the more likely to win games.

The Portuguese-infested Midlands club have only managed three goals all season, two of which came from a complete scuff by Daniel Podence and one from a rocket by Ruben Neves.

The Hammers’ record might be similar but the chances are being created and soon enough, they will be put away convincingly and Saturday could be the start of that.
