Will Salthouse involved in new West Ham United manager appointment as deal close
Unique Sports CEO and football agent Will Salthouse is said to be involved in the deal to replace David Moyes with Julen Lopetegui at West Ham, according to Sean Whetstone.
The Hammers are reportedly close to agreeing a deal with the former Wolves manager to replace the Scot, a deal that could be made as soon as next week [The Guardian].
Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim is said to also be a potential target, with talks held last month, though it appears that Lopetegui is the favourite to take over as talks advance.

West Ham United close in on Julen Lopetegui appointment
It appears that West Ham are closing in on Lopetegui, despite some calling for the club to appoint Almorim as a statement of intent ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Moyes has been under considerable pressure this season, with his defensive style of play heavily criticised due to the number of attacking talents currently in the squad.
The potential appointment of Lopetegui has certainly split opinion, having experienced spells with the Spanish national team, Real Madrid and Sevilla, but only lasted 10 months at Molineux Stadium.

While Moyes deserves the utmost respect from the fans at the London Stadium, having led the Hammers to their first European trophy in the last few decades, football is a results-based sport and he is not able to boast many positive results this season.
Though they managed to reach the Europa League quarter-final, Moyes’ team have stalled in the Premier League and were even knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship outfit Bristol City.
