WHZ View: Antonio and Rice to start – West Ham predicted XI v Donny
West Ham welcome League One side Doncaster Rovers to the London Stadium in the FA Cup fourth-round tie on Saturday.
The Hammers have begun 2021 in blistering form, winning all four of their games thus far. Victories at home to Burnley and West Brom in the past seven days see us sat seventh in the Premier League at the halfway point of the season.
Donny aren’t to be taken lightly, however. Darren Moore’s side have won seven of their last eight games, winning four on the bounce away from home.
They find themselves fourth in the third tier, just three points off top spot. Ben Whiteman and Fejiri Okenabirhie have eight goals each in the League and will be looking to add to that in East London.
Moyes will no doubt name a strong XI, stating previously that he would love a cup run this season.
Darren Randolph will be between the sticks. The Irishman kept clean sheets at Goodison Park and away to Stockport in the last round of the cup, as well as playing in our Carabao Cup ties earlier in the season.
A strong back four will likely have some changes. Ryan Fredericks and Fabian Balbuena have recovered from Covid-19, whilst Angelo Ogbonna will remain in the heart of defence next to youngster Ben Johnson.
Mark Noble will captain the Hammers in the 29th FA Cup appearance of his career. He is expected to partner Declan Rice, an ever-present in the West Ham XI this season.
Andriy Yarmolenko should get a rare start on the right flank, in an attacking trio with Manu Lanzini and Pablo Fornals.
Leading the line again will be in-form Michail Antonio. It was thought Mipo Odubeko might get his full debut today, but the striker tested positive for Covid-19 in the week and hasn’t been able to train in the build-up to the tie.
