West Ham’s Tammy Abraham pursuit all but dead
West Ham are unlikely to continue pursuing the services of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham this summer, according to Claret and Hugh.
The report details that the Hammers have been put off by the 24-year-old’s wage demands as he’s looking to pocket a salary of £160,000-a-week at his next club.
Chelsea are also refusing to budge from their £40million valuation as well – putting him well outside West Ham’s price range.

Move on now
It’s been well established that Abraham had been the player David Moyes wanted to sign this summer, but we knew from the outset that dealing with Chelsea was not going to be easy.
They’re our rivals first and foremost, but are also canny market operators, and know about the interest in the England international with him having suitors not just in England, but also other clubs abroad.
Even if we had a clear run at the player, signing him for that price would be something we couldn’t even think of and it’s about time that we move on to other targets and hopefully, sign someone before the window shuts.

We’ve taken our own sweet time chasing what’s proven to be a lost cause and are now running out of time with us already approaching the second week of August.
There are other areas of the pitch that are still to be strengthened and the club really needs to step up their pursuit of Moyes’ desired targets or we’re unlikely to build on last season’s performances.
