West Ham’s relegation chances revealed in supercomputer prediction after win vs Burnley

Nuno Espirito Santo seems to have the ball rolling at West Ham, as his philosophy is starting to show through in performances.

West Ham beat Burnley 3-2 on Saturday as the Hammers now have their first consecutive Premier League wins of the season under Nuno.

West Ham fans protested outside the London Stadium before the game started, as tensions continue to mount over David Sullivan and Karren Brady, despite the improved performances on the pitch.

The Hammers have been recently tipped for Premier League relegation, but after the win against Burnley, their chances of survival are increasing.

Things are looking better for West Ham’s survival chances

West Ham’s relegation chances were improved after beating Newcastle last time out in the Premier League, but still had a high probability of 49.73 per cent.

Nuno has West Ham heading in the right direction, as Opta have increased the Hammers’ survival probability, now showing a 40.33 per cent chance of relegation.

Opta has West Ham currently down to finish 16th in the Premier League with an expected points tally of just below 38.

West Ham were on fire against the Clarets.

As things stand, it’s possible that most Hammers fans would snatch at the opportunity for this to become a reality, as Nuno needs to be commended for the work he has done so far at E20.

Nuno Espirito Santo has transformed West Ham’s attack

Lucas Paqueta is back to his best for West Ham, as the pressure seems to have been lifted from Jarrod Bowen’s shoulders.

Bowen is one of the best players in England and will be able to flourish with other attackers around him, performing once again.

West Ham’s attacking stats from the previous two Premier League games:

West Ham have averaged 50 per cent of their shots on target over their last two matches, a rate that the Irons never looked capable of achieving just weeks ago.

The international time could come at both a good and bad time for the Hammers, as Nuno will have wanted to harness the momentum into West Ham’s upcoming matches.

However, the time off can also be used to galvanise the squad behind the scenes and further implement his style with players who aren’t travelling for international duties.
