West Ham’s Premier League relegation chances predicted by supercomputer after Arsenal loss

Nuno Espirito Santo has been brought in to get West Ham out of the relegation zone.

West Ham are in genuine danger of relegation after a poor start to the campaign under the management of Graham Potter.

Potter was sacked by West Ham ahead of the 1-1 draw with Everton, and replaced by the former Nottingham Forest man, in an attempt to swing the tide.

His reign at the London Stadium started with that draw with the Blues, but his side were battered by Arsenal on 4 October, showing that he has a huge job on his hands.

Nuno Espirito Santo cannot save West Ham as new prediction emerges

Nuno has been brought in to fire West Ham up the table, after a dismal start to the season under Potter.

The latest Opta supercomputer prediction, from 6 October, has the Hammers finishing in 18th place, being relegated from the top-flight under Nuno.

The outlet gives the East London club a 43.85 per cent chance of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.

They are expected to be joined by Wolves and Burnley, with Leeds narrowly avoiding the drop.

West Ham fans cannot read into predictions this early

It is far too early to be concerned about relegation, Nuno has to be given time to turn things around in E20, before any rash judgements are made.

There is still plenty of time for the Portuguese boss to pull the Irons out of the danger that they currently find themselves in.

They had a miserable transfer window, and that has ultimately led to a change in the dugout, but Nuno may be able to get a tune out of those signings.

The hope will be that the former Tottenham and Wolves boss can steady the ship, and leave the Hammers in a mid-table position by the end of the season.

Then he can make the squad his own, with new additions, and target a higher position in the table, once the mess is sorted.
