West Ham’s Europa Conference League-winning squad – where are they now
West Ham’s squad has undergone plenty of changes in the last two years.
There have been two different managers since David Moyes departed from West Ham in May 2024, and the Hammers have taken a backward step.
David Sullivan’s side are now in turmoil, with calls for him to step down as the chairman of the Irons.
Graham Potter’s job is under pressure at West Ham after one win in three Premier League games, but with the spine of their Europa Conference League-winning squad gone, it is clear to see why the Hammers are struggling.

Notable departures in defence
Just five West Ham players remain from their Europa Conference League-winning squad.
The Irons had a defence that fought for each other, with Vladimir Coufal, Thilo Kehrer, Nayef Aguerd, and Emerson Palmieri all starting in the 2-1 win against Florentina.
Three of the four defenders departed this summer, with Emerson joining Marseille after a tough 2024/25 season.
- Vladimir Coufal – Hoffenheim (free 2025)
- Thilo Kehrer – Monaco (£9.5million 2024)
- Nayef Aguerd – Marseille (£19.9million 2025)
Key figures on the bench, such as Aaron Cresswell and Kurt Zouma, were also on the bench, with the pair now playing for Stoke City and CFR Cluj respectively.

Two of West Ham’s seven midfielders remain
Only Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta remain from the Hammers’ historic midfield.
- Declan Rice – Arsenal (£105million, 2023)
- Said Benrahma – Lyon (£12.3million, 2024)
- Pablo Fornals – Real Betis (£6.8million, 2024)
- Manuel Lanzini – Austin FC
- Flynn Downes – Southampton (£15million, 2024)
Lucas Paqueta could’ve left West Ham this summer, with Aston Villa in for him, but his celebration against Nottingham Forest was a clear indication that he wanted to stay.
Soucek could have also left, with Moyes keen to bring the midfielder to Everton, but the Czech Republic international also chose to stay.
Loyalty has been rare among the midfielders, but the midfield duo’s decision to stay won’t go unnoticed with supporters.

Only Jarrod Bowen remains up front
Jarrod Bowen has been a leader for West Ham in the good times and the bad.
It was a surprise that the winger didn’t attract any interest after such a solid 2024/25 campaign in a relegation-threatened side.
The five players who remain:
- Alphonse Areola
- Jarrod Bowen
- Tomas Soucek
- Lucas Paqueta
- Freddie Potts
Against Florentina, he scored the all-important 90th-minute winner, which won the Irons their first major trophy in 58 years.
He was joined by Michail Antonio, Danny Ings, and Maxwel Cornet in the matchday squad, with Gianluca Scamacca injured.
Antonio has been training with West Ham after his car crash last season, with Ings joining Sheffield United.
Cornet is out on loan with Genoa, while Scamacca plays for Atalanta.
