West Ham won’t sustain form when Europa League returns – Ian Wright
West Ham remain right in the fight for the Champions League places but tough times are approaching on the horizon for David Moyes’ side.
The Irons are just two points behind Manchester United, who currently hold that coveted fourth place in the Premier League, although Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves could all go above them with games in hand.
It might look like an uphill battle for the Hammers with the Europa League returning this month but they have every chance of keeping the chasing pack at bay.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has made his prediction on West Ham’s top four chase but he doesn’t see Moyes’ side holding onto the race for Champions League football.
“I fear for West Ham because they’ve got the seriousness of the Europa League coming now and it gets more intense now,” Wright said on The Ringer podcast,
“They play more frequently and the games are tougher. That’s why you worry for them.
‘I don’t think West Ham will be able to sustain it, with the Europa League as well.”
Rule them out at your own peril
The Hammers’ players won’t mind one bit that the media are questioning their top-four credentials because professional athletes love to prove people wrong.

They would like nothing more than to turn to Wright at the end of the season, having achieved Champions League qualification, and say “How about that then Wrighty?”
Supporters shouldn’t mind it either as the more understated teams are often the ones who prevail in the long run.
There’s no reason why West Ham can’t keep their fight going on more than one front with the FA Cup also on the agenda for the Irons this season.
They competed in both the Premier League and Europa League during the group stages and they will do so again throughout the knockouts, with no problem whatsoever.
