West Ham winger Andriy Yarmolenko angry with Harry Maguire in Ukraine v England
West Ham winger Andriy Yarmolenko fired some angry words at Manchester United star Harry Maguire on Saturday night, according to Guy Mowbray.
The BBC commentator noticed the flashpoint towards the end of the first half of the Euro 2020 quarter-final clash between England and Ukraine on Saturday.
Yarmolenko was lining up for Ukraine in Rome against Irons teammate Declan Rice, but it was Maguire that he had some special words for.

“Angry words from [Roman] Yaremchuk and Yarmolenko in the direction of Harry Maguire that the German ref is going to have to sort out,” Mowbray said.
“Yaremchuk lost it for a moment. Yarmolenko was backing up his teammate.”

Enhanced reputation
Yarmolenko’s European Championship campaign may have ended in a spectacular defeat at the hands of England but he has considerably enhanced his profile at a major tournament yet again.
It’s something that has been levelled against the 31-year-old for years, that he saves his best form for his national side.
He’s suffered from injury issues at West Ham since his 2018 arrival from Borussia Dortmund, notably during his first season when he tore his Achilles early on.
He battled back from that problem to score five times in 23 appearances in the 2019/20 campaign, a relatively impressive return after such a major injury.
However, he appeared just 15 times in the league last season as he fell down the pecking order with the likes of loanee Jesse Lingard well ahead of him.
Yarmolenko’s future at the London Stadium remains unclear, but if he is made available for transfer he has certainly helped to drive the price up of any fee that we will receive for his services this summer.
