West Ham will not sign Alex Kral permanently this summer – Claret & Hugh

West Ham United have already decided that they will not sign Czech Republic midfielder Alex Kral permanently this summer, according to Claret and Hugh.

The 23-year-old is currently on loan at the London Stadium from Spartak Moscow but he has found game time extremely hard to come by.

David Moyes has given him just one minute of Premier League football this season with only half a dozen appearances in all competitions as he prefers Mark Noble and Manuel Lanzini as cover for Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.

Claret and Hugh say that “there is zero chance of the Hammers trying to sign Kral on a permanent basis at the end of the season.”

They also claim that Kral won’t be getting any opportunities to prove Moyes and the supporters wrong unless an injury crisis hits the Irons midfield.

What a waste

Very few signings West Ham have made in the past decade or so will go down as poor as this one.

It may have only been a season-long loan but he will have still expected a few more chances in the first team considering the success of his international teammate Soucek.

But he has been a victim of Moyes’ love for Soucek and Rice which has seen both become undroppable for any game unless they are unavailable for whatever reason.

He was proven right in the FA Cup fourth round too as Kral started alongside Noble against sixth tier Kidderminster Harriers.

The non-league side took the lead in the first half and truthfully dominated proceedings which prompted the Scot to bring his star men on at half-time, at Kral’s expense.

That has essentially become the end for Kral at West Ham and he is now destined for the exit door, not that any Hammers fan will be too upset at the news.

In other West Ham news, the club have reportedly been priced out of a move for a Premier League and England star this summer.
