West Ham weigh up Andrea Belotti offer

West Ham are reportedly lining up a deal to bring Torino striker Andrea Belotti to the London Stadium.

According to WestHamFans.org, the 27-year-old’s contract at the Italian club expires at the end of the season, and the Hammers are keen to rekindle their interest in the striker.

Recently, Torino President Urbano Cairo also admitted that the club are fighting a losing battle to get him to extend his deal.

Tuttomercato quoted him as saying, “For the moment he hasn’t signed, I don’t think he wants to sign. I made an offer that went beyond my means, I can’t force him to do anything.”

Good deal?

The source that broke the story of West Ham preparing a deal have claimed that he is on £68,000 per week wages.

Belotti has made a penchant for scoring “outrageous” goals [SI] during his time at Torino and could do the same at the London Stadium as well.

Given the fact that the Hammers are likely to make a move for him in the summer, they will save up on any transfer fee so can afford to hike his wages.

It’s almost certain that Belotti, will move to a side competing in the Champions League or at least challenging for qualification to the continental elite.

While the Hammers are not seen as a big four club yet, two consecutive finishes in the top six along with a salary bump could tempt Belotti to jump ship and move to the London Stadium.

Playing in the Premier League is always a tempting prospect for players and living in a city like London could be seen as an added benefit for the 27-year-old.

Hopefully, the Hammers start talking with him in January as they will be eligible to get him to sign a pre-contract deal before a move in the summer.
