West Ham want to sign QPR goalkeeper Seny Dieng
West Ham United are keen on signing Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Seny Dieng in the summer, according to ExWHUEmployee.
The insider for the Hammers said on the West Ham Way Podcast that the Irons had been impressed by what they’d seen of the Senegalese international this season.
The 27-year-old is among three potential signings in goal for David Moyes with West Brom’s Sam Johnstone also named by ExWHUEmployee.

The third choice, however, is currently on loan shot-stopper Alphonse Areola as West Ham supposedly have a deal in place to sign the Frenchman should they wish to do so.
“On the keeper front, we will sign a keeper,” ExWHUEmployee said. “A couple of names in the running that aren’t currently with us, are Sam Johnstone, who I’ve spoke about before, and I think his name is Seny Dieng of QPR – he’s someone that’s impressed.
“But apparently, we have an option – well, I know we have an option factually – to sign Areola in the summer, but apparently, there’s an option that we can loan him for a second season as well.”
Look to the future
Whoever Moyes decides to bring to the London Stadium between the sticks has to be someone who can be there for a good few years.

Unless they are a genuinely world-class goalkeeper, the boss has to look towards a four or five-year tenure for the next number one after Lukasz Fabianski leaves or retires.
The Pole is still the first choice for the Hammers right now, ahead of Areola, but he is approaching the time in his career where he may look to wind down and find his next venture after football.
So it’s no surprise to see Moyes actively looking for his replacement and Areola is probably the best choice on paper.
The issues might come with the money they’d have to pay PSG which would likely be considerably higher than QPR would ask for Dieng or West Brom for Johnstone.
