West Ham want to sign Orlando City striker Daryl Dike

West Ham are reportedly keen on signing Orlando City striker Daryl Dike in January.

According to TEAMtalk, the Hammers have identified the 21-year-old United States international to address their attacking woes.

90Min have claimed that Orlando are open to cashing in on Dike in January.

Dike, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Championship side Barnsley, has been widely linked with a return to the shores of Great Britain.

Must sign

Dike impressed a great deal under then-manager Valerien Ismael at Barnsley.

He bagged an impressive nine goals in 14 starts and put his side in contention for promotion.

Ismael, who’s now at West Brom, wants a reunion with him, that’s how highly he is rated by the Frenchman.

However, should West Ham come in with an offer too, there are no guesses as to who he’s going to choose.

The Hammers can offer him European football, higher wages and the opportunity to play in the best league in the world.

Dike, who’s known for his “magnificent physique” would be perfect for David Moyes’ team too.

His style of play resembles Michail Antonio’s and much like the Jamaica international, he knows where the back of the net is.

Rob Newman must act quickly as there seem to be a host of Premier League clubs circling around the 21-year-old.
