West Ham want to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby
West Ham United are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen lightning-quick winger Moussa Diaby in the summer, according to Calcio Mercato.
The 22-year-old not only has a “turbo engine”, as Bayer Leverkusen’s official website says, but he has become incredibly prolific from the wide areas this season.
The French Under-21 international has 12 Bundesliga goals to his name as well as four in eight in the Europa League, which his side is now out of, unlike the Irons.

His current deal at BayArena runs until 2025 but he has expressed an interest in testing himself elsewhere already, as he told Le Parisien last month.
“Obviously, I’m thinking about it, but not too much yet,” Diaby said. “I remain focused on the end of the season. For the moment it is my only concern.”
Incredible talent
You could say that a winger is not particularly high on West Ham’s shopping list this summer but if Diaby is available for a good price, they must pull the trigger and bring him in if they can.
The one thing the Hammers are arguably lacking is a winger who can zoom past any defender with ease and very direct running and that is exactly what the 22-year-old would bring to the table.

That’s the reason why no Bundesliga defender relishes playing against him and it will be the same story in the Premier League too.
With Jarrod Bowen on the opposite flank, there would be a genuine argument to suggest the Irons have the best winger combination in the entire Premier League, rivalling that of Manchester City and Liverpool.
If they don’t get him in, it will only come back to bite them as he flies past Vladimir Coufal and Aaron Cresswell for fun in another team’s kit.
In other West Ham news, this Hammer has been spotted with an ankle boot on and he’s now out of Thursday’s Europa League game against Lyon.
