Sean Dyche reportedly needs to sell players before he can buy this summer.

West Ham are in the market for midfield reinforcements with Declan Rice on the verge of completing a £105million move to Arsenal.

Versatility a plus point

West Ham certainly need to reinforce their squad this summer, not least a midfield that is about to lose Declan Rice to the Gunners in a lucrative deal.

Iwobi would not be a direct replacement for Rice, of course, with the two different in how they go about their business in the midfield.

But finding just one replacement for Rice is not easy and West Ham are likely to invest a sizeable amount of the fee they receive for Rice into at least two midfielders, and a forward if Gianluca Scamacca heads back to Italy.

Denis Zakaria and James Ward-Prowse are among the other options who have been tipped to join the Hammers and manager David Moyes certainly has plenty of work to do to reinforce his midfield.

Moreover, Iwobi provides versatility as he was largely utilised on the wing during his time at Arsenal. Having a player like that in your squad when you need to balance Premier League and Europa League duties is certainly a plus point.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers could be the subject of a Qatar takeover according to Simon Stone.
