West Ham want to reignite transfer move for Nikola Milenkovic

West Ham are ready to try and sign Nikola Milenkovic again in a cut-price deal next summer.

Calciomercato report that the Hammers, Juventus, Inter Milan, and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the Serbian’s situation at Fiorentina and could make a move.

The Irons tried to sign Milenkovic in the last transfer window only to see the deal collapse, but it seems as if the Hammers are still keen on the giant 24-year-old [Here We Go Podcast].

Interesting claims.

West Ham have four very good centre-back options in Angelo Ogbonna, Craig Dawson, Issa Diop, and Kurt Zouma.

However, with Dawson and Ogbonna ageing, perhaps they do need to think about a replacement for either of them.

Milenkovic was definitely a target in the summer, but in the end, David Moyes made a move for Zouma.

Still, that doesn’t mean he might not want to try and sign the big centre-back once again.

It sounds as if they will face stern competition for his signature, but given the way their season is going, the Irons could have Champions League football to offer to Milenkovic.

The 24-year-old has been described as “extraordinary” by Spanish footballer Pol Lirola in the past and will only have a year left on his contract after the end of this season, which could force Fiorentina into a sale [].

The summer is a long way off, but this could certainly be a transfer to keep an eye on when that transfer window does open.
