West Ham want another loan spell for Alphonse Areola
West Ham are looking at another loan spell for goalkeeper Alphonse Areola in the summer transfer window, according to a report from Jeunes Footeux.
The 29-year-old joined the Hammers on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. The London outfit have an option to sign him permanently but they want to avoid the £10.8 m clause included in his current loan deal.
The report claims that PSG would be comfortable with the deal if the Hammers include the option to buy him permanently after that.

Smart decision
Basically, the Hammers want to extend their loan deal for the goalkeeper.
Areola has made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers, but it has come mostly in cup games.
The decision also rests on where West Ham will finish at the end of the season. If the Hammers manage to secure another year of European football, they will have more financial means which could boost their chances of signing Areola.

At the moment it is unclear whether PSG would agree to this deal, but there is optimism that it won’t be an issue. The player is happy in London, and wants to sort out his future before the summer transfer window so that he can take part in the pre-season.
Areola was superb in the Europa League clash against Sevilla, where BT Sport pundit (17 March) Steve McManaman hailed his performance as “brilliant”.
Getting him on loan would be a smart signing from the Hammers.
In other West Ham news, David Moyes has been impressed by this EFL goalkeeper and wants to sign him in the summer.
