West Ham v Newcastle United result predicted by supercomputer

West Ham United will face Newcastle in the Premier League on Monday, and a supercomputer has predicted the result.

London Stadium will host Eddie Howe’s team in the English top flight on 10 March as both clubs look for much-needed three points.

Graham Potter had a tough start to life at the Hammers but seems to have turned things around after beating Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates, followed by the 2-0 victory over Leicester City at home on 27 February.

The Irons have a tough test on their hands as the Magpies look to get a Champions League spot this season.

A draw stands at 25 per cent, with Howe’s team the favourites to get the three points at the London Stadium with a 43 per cent probability.

West Ham are 15th in the English top flight and could find themselves further down the table before kickoff if results elsewhere go against them.

Potter confident of victory v Newcastle

Potter will be confident against Newcastle despite missing a key player like Lucas Paqueta over the last few weeks.

While the Brazil international has been a key player for the Irons, his recent absence due to injuries has seen the team arguably perform better.

Jarrod Bowen and Mohamed Kudus have been preferred as the centre-forwards of late, with Evan Ferguson on the bench.

Potter doesn’t seem to trust Danny Ings, and the former Southampton ace has hardly made regular appearances for the East London outfit this season, making his exit inevitable next summer.

The Hammers have been without Niclas Fullkrug and Michail Antonio for some time now, and Potter has opted to experiment with the number nine position.

Ferguson will arguably have settled into the new environment after his loan move from Brighton in the winter transfer window.

Newcastle have shown defensive fragility in their last three fixtures, conceding nine goals, and have to worry about the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on 16 March.

It will be interesting to see how the Magpies will set up at the London Stadium.
