West Ham v Bournemouth preview: Team news, lineups, supercomputer prediction

West Ham United will be back in action at the London Stadium on Saturday as they aim to address their poor recent run of form.

Graham Potter’s side have failed to win any of their last three matches, and fell to a disappointing defeat against Wolves at Molineux in midweek.

The Hammers have little to play for but pride for the rest of the season. West Ham are 16th in the Premier League and are projected to finish the season there.

Bournemouth are also badly out of form heading into this clash at the London Stadium, but are still pushing for European football under Andoni Iraola.

West Ham vs Bournemouth preview

Goals are to be expected in this game, with both sides struggling to keep clean sheets in recent weeks. Potter’s side shut out Arsenal and Leicester, but have conceded in their last three matches.

West Ham are missing several attackers, and managed just one shot on target away at Wolves, but will hope to take advantage of Bournemouth’s poor defensive form.

For Potter, the aim for the rest of the campaign is to build his style of play to have a clearer idea of what his team will be next season, but he will hope experienced stars such as Jarrod Bowen can continue to deliver in the here and now.

Bournemouth have not kept a clean sheet in the Premier League since January, but Iraola’s side are full of attacking quality which could pose a threat to the Irons’ defence.

Team news

West Ham are still depleted in attack heading into this game, and look set to shuffle their pack again.

Bowen and Mohammed Kudus led the line against Everton before the international break, but it was a different attack against Wolves as Evan Ferguson and Luis Guilherme came in to start, with Kudus now absent as well.

Crysencio Summerville and Michail Antonio are longer-term absentees, but summer signing Niclas Fullkrug is now an option after returning from a lengthy injury.

Bournemouth are still missing Enes Unal, Julian Araujo, Luis Sinisterra and Marcus Tavernier.
