West Ham United winger Said Benrahma deserves more credit after netting tenth goal of the season

West Ham winger Said Benrahma deserves more credit after attracting criticism says the Athletic’s Roshane Thomas.

Benrahma netted twice in the first half in West Ham’s Premier League clash with Norwich.

The Carrow Road strikes are Benrahma’s tenth and eleventh goals of the season.

Thomas tweeted during the first half: “Ten goals and assists in all competitions for Benrahma.

“Some will argue he needs to be more consistent but he’s definitely improved.”

Europa League chances

If the Irons are to continue their upward trajectory then European football is a must.

After their disappointment in Germany on Thursday, the Hammers must regroup and finish their Premier League campaign strongly.

The best players are drawn to the prospect of playing European football.

The Irons will have a far better chance of attracting high-profile names to the London Stadium if they are playing European football next season.

The Irons have every chance of qualifying for next season’s competition.

They’re chasing Manchester United, but the Hammers have two games in hand.

David Moyes’ side will also have a far better chance of keeping their talismanic skipper Declan Rice if they maintain their European status.

Rice looks destined to play Champions League football at some point in his career.

Every single West Ham fan will be wishing he achieves this whilst still wearing claret and blue.
