West Ham United want to sign Rayan Vitor, Real Madrid and Barcelona battle ready
West Ham United are eyeing up a move to sign Vasco da Gama teenager Rayan Vitor, but Barcelona and Real Madrid are tailing him too, according to The Mirror journalist James Nursey.
The 16-year-old winger is considered to be one of the young teenage jewels in Brazil and gained, even more prominence earlier this year, having won the U17 Sudamericano with his country.
Vitor made history last weekend when he made his first-team debut for Vasco de Gama and scored in their 2-1 defeat to Internacional in the Brazilian Serie A, becoming the club’s youngest scorer in the 21st century as a result.
The Hammers have also been linked with another Brazilian wonder in Matheus Franca [Daily Mail newspaper, 1 July, page 105].

And according to Nursey, taking to his personal Twitter account [6 July], the Hammers are eyeing the teenager but face a battle with Barcelona and Real Madrid for his services.
He wrote: “Hammers eyeing Brazilian teenager Rayan Vitor, 16, at Vasco da Gama too but Spanish giants Barca & Real Madrid tailing him.”
Difficult to complete
It’s encouraging to see West Ham United explore the Brazilian market for some wizard signings but given the rate at which both Barcelona and Real Madrid are signing players from there right now, it seems almost impossible for English sides to follow suit.
West Ham United just can’t seem to secure targets from Brazil, and their reported links for Vitor’s counterpart Franca also look dead in the water with London rivals Chelsea now set to steal his signature.

Vitor is a burgeoning young talent and a player the Hammers should seriously be scouting as the Brazilian market certainly throws up some impressive hidden gems.
However, the Irons simply cannot match up to the lure and glamour of the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, and even Chelsea too which means they may have to explore another market opportunity.
