Ian Darke slams Mohammed Kudus live on TNT Sports for ‘stupid’ decision in West Ham United v Olympiacos

Ian Darke slammed Mohammed Kudus for his “stupid” yellow card in the first half of the Europa League clash between West Ham and Olympiacos.

Kudus was cautioned in the 28th minute of Thursday’s (9 November) contest at London Stadium for shouting in the face of the assistant referee after a throw-in was awarded in the away side’s favour.

Veteran commentator Darke, covering the game live for TNT Sports, hit out at the Ghana international for his conduct.

West Ham

“That’s a stupid yellow to get, it really is,” Darke said [9 November, 20:31]. “It’s a cheap yellow and he’s walking something of a tightrope.”

Co-commentator Don Hutchinson added: “You can’t do that these days.”

Silly

Kudus had a frustrating first half against Olympiacos and that clearly told with his conduct towards the officials.

The summer signing simply cannot allow his anger to get the better of him in this manner, or else his team-mates may be left to pick up the pieces.

Former Ajax ace Kudus may have had a point with the initial decision given by the officials, but it certainly did not merit the reaction we saw from him.

moyes

David Moyes is under pressure at the London Stadium and cannot afford any needless misconduct from his players, such as that on show from Kudus.

Of more concern from Moyes’ perspective will be the underwhelming showing from Kudus and his attacking team-mates in the first half against Olympiacos.

Let’s just hope the Ghanaian has learned his lesson.
