West Ham United transfer update emerges on pursuit to sign Nice defender Melvin Bard
West Ham are keen on securing the services of Nice defender Melvin Bard this summer with an exit on the cards, claims Ignazio Genuardi.
According to the Foot365 journalist, the French side are open to allowing him to leave on loan this summer.
It’s also understood that Bologna are keen on signing the 22-year-old French left-back this summer.
Via Twitter, Geunardi wrote, “Nice’s Bard is also on the shelves of the English team [West Ham]. Bologna is another formation interested in the former Lyonnais, but a loan exit is favoured.”
Alternative to Truffert?
The same journalist claims that Adrien Truffert appears to be the left-back that the Hammers are in pursuit of this summer.
Based on Nayef Aguerd’s recommendation, they are ready to move quickly so it’s evident that he seems to be the priority.
However, no club ever gets all their targets and in case a move for the France international does not materialise they can target his compatriot at Nice.

Bard showed promise at Lyon but knew that if he was to get regular game time then he would have to move to another club.
It seems like he could be ready to move to a bigger club and tougher league so a move to the Premier League may be on the cards.
They only seem to be wanting a loan for the defender who they’ve labelled “Exemplary” on their website so it remains to be seen how the Hammers approach it.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
