West Ham United transfer twist emerges in James Ward-Prowse hunt
West Ham United are still in talks with Manchester United over Scott McTominay in a last-minute twist, according to Sean Whetstone.
The 6foot2 editor has reported that in a “big twist” to the James Ward-Prowse pursuit, only one of the two players will be signed by David Moyes this summer.
A deal for one of the players will be done in the next 72 hours, and neither will be signed in time to take on Bournemouth in the Premier League opener.

Mess.
This is nonsense given the amount of trouble we have already been put through in this current window.
Ward-Prowse is there for the taking with nearly everything agreed, so there is no need to backtrack now with Edson Alvarez covering the role that McTominay would likely play anyway.
David Moyes has to put his foot down now, with Tim Steidten causing more problems than he has solved since arriving, and he has only been at the club for a handful of weeks.
The England international is the perfect addition now with his set-piece ability and playmaking style in the middle of the park going to compliment everyone around him.
This is likely one last shot to see if a cheaper deal can be sorted, with Harry Maguire now all-but-done, can a move for McTominay work at the same time?
Nothing is straight forward, and it only looks as though it will be getting more complicated between now and the upcoming weekend.
