West Ham United transfer news as Pablo Fornals claim emerges amid Youssef En-Nesyri pursuit

Pablo Fornals could be used as a makeweight in the deal as West Ham look to sign Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish media outlet reported on Monday (21 August) that the cash-strapped La Liga side are desperate for sales and are open to letting the Morocco World Cup striker leave.

They will look to sign Fornals in return, who’s fallen down the pecking order at the London Stadium.

Good deal?

Fornals does not appear to be getting any better and he’s now become a bench player under David Moyes.

He might be making an impact coming on in second halves of games but if they can sign En-Nesyri for cheap by using him in the deal, then it makes sense to do that.

Moyes is understood to be a fan of the 26-year-old striker and has attempted to sign him on numerous occasions in the past few transfer windows.

With Gianluca Scamacca leaving and Michail Antonio also appearing to be on his way out, a new striker is the need of the hour at the London Stadium.

While Jarrod Bowen is capable of playing there and if they signed Mohammed Kudus, he will too, they need someone who’s an out and out number nine.

If En-Nesyri is to be that player, then they need to make quick moves in order to get this deal over the line.

In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
