West Ham United transfer news as Max Kilman interest emerges in January
West Ham could reignite their interest in Wolves centre-back Max Kilman after making David Moyes’ wishlist in the summer, according to talkSPORT.
The sports radio station reported via its website [2 January] that the Hammers could target a move for the 26-year-old defender but Wolves are not expected to sell after the player signed a new five-year contract in August.
It is understood that Moyes is a long-time admirer of the Englishman and was one of many targets during the summer for West Ham after the sale of Declan Rice. However, a move never materialised.

The Wolves captain was the subject of a £30million bid from Napoli during the summer but the club opted to reject the Serie A club, despite profit and sustainability troubles at Molineux.
The right deal
Kilman is an extremely versatile Premier League defender, making it easy to see why West Ham and Moyes would want to acquire his signature. He signed from Maidenhead United in 2018 and has never looked back, becoming a key player under every manager at Molineux since.
The centre-back has started all 20 of Wolves’ Premier League games this season, missing just one last season as well. He marked his most recent appearance with his second-ever goal for Wolves, poking the ball home against Everton in a comfortable 3-0 victory.

With a new contract now signed, it may take a bigger fee than £30million to persuade the club to sell, who have built him into the Premier League defender he is today from the National League player he once was.
If West Ham were to offer a reasonable price, Wolves could be inclined to make the deal happen, looking to stay on the right side of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules, seeing first-hand from Everton exactly what can happen.
And the Hammers very much could come knocking for Kilman. With Premier League and Europa League fixture upcoming, and Nayef Aguerd’s future up in the air, the Wolves man could be the perfect fit for Moyes’ team.
