West Ham United transfer news as Manuel Lanzini spotted in foreign country for medical
Ex West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini will be the latest to seal his London Stadium exit this summer as he’s set to undergo his medical, according to Adriano Savalli.
The Mercado de Pases journalist claimed on Monday (7 August) that he is in Argentina to complete the formalities before joining River Plate.
The images have now emerged of him in the South American country and he’s also wearing their jersey.
Via Twitter, Savalli wrote, “Manuel Lanzini has already arrived in the country and went to undergo a medical examination to become a reinforcement for River. Up free after 7 years at West Ham, on loan until June 2024 and without a purchase option.”

Declan Rice and Arthur Masuaku are the senior players that have left along with a number of youth players who appeared to be on the cusp of the first team.
Gianluca Scamacca also appears all set to move to Atalanta after a disappointing first season in the Premier League.
Lanzini’s contract at the club expired and he became a free agent post June 30.

Lanzini was a good utility player who’s had some good moments off the bench for the Hammers but it seems like he wanted some first-team action this season.
The Hammers are likely to bring in more players after Edson Alvarez in midfield so there was a good chance of Lanzini falling down the pecking order had he stayed.
The fans will certainly thank him for his efforts for the club and it remains to be seen how he fares there.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
