West Ham United transfer news as Manchester City ace Kyle Walker in demand amid Bayern Munich and Saudi links

West Ham, Bayern Munich and clubs from Saudi Arabia reportedly are keen on signing Manchester City defender Kyle Walker this summer.

According to 90 Min [16 June], the England international is already in talks over a move to Bayern Munich this summer.

As he’s got 12 months left on his deal, the 33-year-old has been exploring his options over the past few months.

Nigh on impossible?

If he’s in talks with Bayern and they’re willing to finance the deal, it’s close to impossible that the Hammers will be able to sign him.

He’s won it all at Manchester City and would not want to take a step down in the same league when he’s getting everything he wants at the Etihad.

His wages will also be astronomical even if he does want to move to West Ham and this is a transfer that’s not likely to happen.

He’s also 33 and signing someone at that age makes little sense even though he could be one of their best players for a year or two.

The Hammers got big spending ahead especially once they sell Declan Rice and they need to be careful on who they shell out their funds.

Their first priority is understood to be Leicester City’s Harvey Barnes and that deal is not going to come cheap so it’s going to be an interesting few weeks for West Ham.
