West Ham United transfer news as Gianluca Scamacca offered to Inter Milan
West Ham United striker Gianluca Scamacca has been offered to Italian giants Inter Milan by his agency, according to a report by FC Inter News.
The Italian striker hasn’t had the desired impact at the London Stadium, only starting 11 Premier League matches and scoring three goals and according to the Italian outlet his representatives at the Stellar Groups have offered his services to the Nerazzurri.
However, Simone Inzaghi’s side are said to not be particularly keen on bringing the 24-year-old to the San Siro, with other options higher on their transfer list, but there is an expectation that if Inter continue to struggle to bring in their other targets they may well instead turn to Scamacca.

With reports that West Ham or Scamacca may also prefer a loan move away from East London, there is potential that Internazionale would be more likely to secure the striker’s services on a temporary basis.
Inter Milan looked set to see Romelu Lukaku return to the San Siro, but any potential move has quickly fallen through with links developing instead to Arsenal’s Florian Balogun, Alvaro Morata or Mehdi Taremi as they look to replace the Belgian forward.
Best to cut ties?
You don’t have to watch much of Scamacca to recognise that he is an incredibly talented footballer and his last season at Sassuolo where he scored 16 league goals shows that and there is no doubt he’d likely score plenty of goals for Inter.
However, maybe that is the exact reason he should remain at the London Stadium. David Moyes’ forward options aren’t exactly overpopulated and Michael Antonio’s future remains up in the air so surely this could be Scamacca’s time to find his feet.

Injury issues caused the Italian to miss large parts of the season so his lack of playing time isn’t just limited to being out of favour with the Irons’ manager. Further to that, different players take different lengths of time to adapt to the Premier League, with another pre-season under his belt maybe he’ll be able to rediscover that goal scoring touch.
On the contrary, there is no point wasting wages on keeping a player at a club he doesn’t want to be at, if it has reached the point that Scamacca and his representatives are actively offering his services to other clubs, it could be time to cut ties.
