West Ham United transfer news as Fabrizio Romano shares Declan Rice Arsenal medical update
An Arsenal medical for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has not yet been scheduled, according to Fabrizio Romano.
But the transfer specialist noted that it will only be a “matter of hours” before the Hammers ace completes his move to Arsenal.
Romano added that all that is left in the deal to bring Rice to the Gunners is the payment terms, with West Ham having accepted their £100million plus £5million add-ons bid on Wednesday (28 June), as per Romano.

“It’s not quite ‘here we go’ yet, but it’s probably only a matter of hours,” Romano wrote for CaughtOffside. “The only thing to be sorted is the payment terms – West Ham want £100m guaranteed in 18 months, so it’s about this detail and then it will be done.
“A medical has not yet been scheduled, but Arsenal have done a great job here and it shouldn’t be much longer before it’s all wrapped up.”

Long time coming
It has been a very long time coming, but West Ham are finally set to have to say goodbye to their beloved captain and midfielder, who has given so much to the club in recent years.
Rice has been their standout player season after season, forming a superb bond with his teammates and with the fans, who will undoubtedly stick by the player despite his impending exit.
The England international will be sorely missed in East London, but he can absolutely count on a warm welcome upon his return next season.
It will be a strange sight to see the midfielder in the red and white of Arsenal as opposed to the claret and blue of West Ham, but the time has come for him to move on in search of regular silverware.
Fortunately, Rice’s Hammers story looks to have ended in superb fashion, with the skipper leading the club to Europa Conference League glory.
In other West Ham news, one agent has dropped a £100k-a-week Rice claim ahead of his impending switch to Arsenal.
