West Ham United transfer news: Arsenal submit another bid for Manchester City and Manchester United target Declan Rice

Arsenal are reportedly hoping that they fend off interest from Manchester City for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice this summer.

According to the Athletic on 27 June, the Hammers have received £105million bid which includes £100million up front and £5million in add-ons.

Should this be accepted, the 24-year-old will become the most expensive British player of all time.

Good terms needed

The devil is in the details for the Hammers here and they need to see how attainable the add-ons are as clubs tend to play around with those.

If Arsenal include something like winning the Champions League in it, one knows that it’s nigh on impossible for that to happen any time soon.

The Hammers need to get as much as possible for him and need to guarantee the money sooner rather than later.

It also remains to be seen whether or not David Sullivan accepts this or will want Arsenal to come in with another bid.

Manchester City also cannot be written off in this as well as they have the capability of blowing teams out of the water when such offers are made.

It will be worth keeping a close eye on them in the next 24 hours and Sullivan will hope that they offer more than Arsenal to keep this bidding war going.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers are already preparing to cash in on the Declan Rice money as they hold a transfer meeting in London as they’re confident of sealing a £50million signing.
