West Ham United transfer news amid Manchester City attacker Cole Palmer links
David Moyes wants West Ham to sign Manchester City attacker Cole Palmer and deploy Jarrod Bowen in a new role, according to the Evening Standard.
The London-based media outlet wrote on its website on Thursday (10 August) that Palmer, 21, is viewed as an option to play on the right wing while Bowen may be experimented as a number nine.
The English attacker may even be used as a makeweight in talks with City for Lucas Paqueta.

Weird one
Moyes has specific things he looks for in a striker and likes them to be tall, strong and good in the air.
Bowen is many things, but cannot be entrusted to play as a number nine week in and week out and is better off playing on the right or left.
It remains to be seen what the manager has in store for him but he cannot let the board just not sign a new striker this summer.

Tim Steidten is also making decisions and despite his disagreements with Moyes, he’ll know how important signing a striker is.
Nobody expected Gianluca Scamacca to leave at the start of the window but he’s no longer at the club and it’s a big void to fill.
There is money to be spent but it needs to be done quickly and hopefully, sooner rather than later, a new striker is signed.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
