West Ham United transfer for Luizao ‘as good as done’ – Dharmesh Sheth
Luizao is all set to sign for West Ham United when the January transfer window opens, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
The 20-year-old will leave Brazilian top-division club Sao Paulo at the end of 2022 when his contract expires and make the move to the London Stadium where he will begin in the Under-21s.
Luizao has already undergone a medical ahead of his move to Rush Green and Sheth believes he will sign a lengthy contract in the capital too.

“It was confirmed to me that this one is as good as done. Luizao will join in January on a three-and-a-half-year deal,” Sheth told Give Me Sport.
“But he’s seen, at 20 years old, as probably one for the future. As opposed to going straight into the first-team squad, I think he’s going to develop first in the Under-21s at West Ham.
“There is a lot of truth in that and he has had a medical already with West Ham. He is set to join in January.”

Only the start
Getting one signing over the line before the January transfer window opens is a great start to the month for West Ham but David Moyes will know that he is not enough to turn around the club’s fortunes.
Luizao won’t even join the senior squad this season unless things get desperate so he has another two or maybe three signings to make to satisfy Irons supporters that the required steps are being taken.
He might have to burrow for hidden treasure or beg and borrow in places having spent a huge amount of money in the summer to bring in the likes of Nayef Aguerd, Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta among others.
None of the summer recruits have lit up the London Stadium as he would have wished with Thilo Kehrer perhaps the standout recruit so far but he has to put his faith in them with the purse strings very tight.
