West Ham United to sweat over Lukasz Fabianski fitness for Crystal Palace
Lukasz Fabianski is now a doubt for West Ham United’s game against Crystal Palace on Sunday (6 November), according to Claret and Hugh.
The 37-year-old briefly went down with an injury in the 1-0 defeat away at Manchester United but was able to continue to half-time where he was replaced by Alphonse Areola.
At first glance, it looked as if the onrushing Red Devils attacker had perhaps clipped the Hammers number one when trying to get out of his way but replays then showed a potential awkward landing after clearing the ball.

As of right now, the club are still not entirely sure what the injury is to the Polish international and will examine it further over the course of the week.
“However, he cannot be considered certain for the game against Palace,” an insider told Claret and Hugh but he seems to be ruled out of the Europa Conference League clash with FCSB.
No rush
At 37 years of age, the last thing West Ham and David Moyes should be doing is trying to get Fabianski back into the team as soon as possible.
Areola is a very adequate cover for the Pole with plenty of French international caps to his name and league title wins for Paris Saint-Germain in his career so far.

He has been extremely patient in waiting for a chance in the Premier League and did not concede to Erik Ten Hag’s star-studded attack as Marcus Rashford’s bullet header was netted in the first half.
He was probably going to play in the Europa Conference League anyway as he has for all other games so far but this could be the opening of the door for him.
Moyes is in a very luxurious position at the London Stadium to have two very competent goalkeepers which makes injuries like this much less of a factor.
