West Ham United to receive payments in four instalments as Arthur Masuaku set for Besiktas transfer

West Ham will reportedly receive payments in four instalments as Arthur Masuaku is now set to join Besiktas permanently.

According to Fanatik journalist Gokmen Ozcan, the left-back will be earning a salary of £1.14million per year at the Turkish club.

The Hammers are set to receive a total transfer fee of £1.93million as the 29-year-old will now finally be off their books.

Via Twitter, Ozcan wrote, “Beşiktaş is getting ready to take Artur Masuaku’s signing.

“The 2.2 million euro [£1.9million] purchase option of the Democratic Congolese left-back will be paid to West Ham in 4 instalments. Masuaku will earn 1.3 million [£1.14million] Euros per year for a 3-year contract.”

Masuaku was stagnating at the London Stadium so it made no sense for the Hammers to keep him for any longer.

When they saw interest from Besiktas they capitalised on it and now are getting him off their books.

He was an important utility player at the club back when the talent wasn’t at the level as it is right now.

Fans will certainly have fond memories of the Congo international at the London Stadium and will wish him the best for his future.

Maxwel Cornet has been signed and he’ll probably be something very similar to Masuaku in terms of his versatility.

He’s not yet hit the ground running at West Ham due to a number of injuries, but hopefully, he’s fit enough next season to challenge for a regular starting berth.
