The Hammers are already making a start on their transfer business with a deal for Fabricio Bruno advanced, while official bids have been tabled for both Wesley Gassova and Ferdi Kadioglu according to reports.

West Ham have had Lopetegui ready for weeks

When the decision to allow Moyes to leave the club was made official, the club already seemingly had a deal in place to bring Lopetegui in as a replacement.

The Spanish coach has a fantastic record in his professional career with spells at Sevilla, Real Madrid, Wolves and the Spain national team too reaping rewards.

As the Hammers look to move to a fresher, more attacking style of football in the coming seasons he has got a solid squad to choose from but also knows there are big changes to be made.

Julen Lopetegui had a busy summer at West Ham United

There is little speculation at this point, with most people aware that he is coming in, but to make it official is a positive sign and it would show that progress is well underway for the summer overhaul.

It’s going to be a busy summer but having a new manager in early doors was important to avoid any speculation or slow starts, and now the fans will get to hear from the new boss too.

In other West Ham news, the club have tabled a £22m bid for a “superstar” that Mikel Arteta loves.
