Thomas Tuchel to West Ham United update shared amid David Moyes sack talk at London Stadium

Thomas Tuchel could be persuaded to succeed David Moyes as the next manager of West Ham, according to talkSPORT.

The British broadcaster reported on its website on Tuesday (20 February) that Tuchel is among those being considered by West Ham.

United are said to remain hopeful that Tuchel, whose future at Bayern Munich is also in doubt, can be talked into taking on the job if Moyes goes.

Steve Cooper, Graham Potter and Julen Lopetegui are the other names mentioned as contenders to take charge at London Stadium.

Thomas Tuchel would be ideal David Moyes replacement at West Ham

Moyes remains in the London Stadium hot seat, but for just how much longer? There have been contrasting reports in recent days, some suggesting his time is up, others hinting at a new deal being readied.

Results will ultimately determine whether the Scotsman stays on, If the Irons continue producing the type of performances we have seen in 2024, then surely he will soon be on his way out.

The upcoming Europa League last-16 tie with an as-yet-unknown opponent could be a saving grave for Moyes. It would be incredibly harsh to get rid of him before that.

For many, the ideal scenario would be for Moyes to stay at the helm until the end of the campaign before moving on, at which point a bigger name could come in.

Tuchel is certainly a bigger name as he has won Ligue 1, the Champions League and a host of other trophies during his managerial career.

If the German leaves Bayern, which is looking increasingly likely, West Ham could do a lot worse than make contact with him the moment that happens.
