West Ham United: Tension between David Moyes and Tomas Soucek cool
West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek “will not push” for a move away from the London Stadium this summer according to Claret and Hugh.
It had been reported by The Guardian (25 May) that the Czech international had reached an impasse with the club over a new contract.
However, it appears that the 27-year-old has ended his stand-off with the Hammers with Claret and Hugh claiming on Wednesday 13 July that there is growing confidence the midfielder will remain at West Ham this summer.

It has also been suggested that the Hammers rate Soucek highly and that he is happy to remain at the London Stadium.
Midfield complete?
With Soucek remaining at the club this summer, David Moyes will have a plethora of midfield options at his disposal if he can add one more player to his midfield ranks.
Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth revealed on Tuesday 12 July (via Twitter) that the Hammers are contemplating a third bid for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana.
If Moyes can add the 20-year-old to his ranks along with keeping Soucek then his midfield will be complete, with Flynn Downes and Declan Rice his other two options.

Overall Soucek has had a successful spell at the London Stadium and keeping the 27-year-old is probably the right decision for the upcoming 2022/23 season.
The Czech international can always chip in with a goal and will be looking to rediscover his form from the 2020/21 campaign where his goalscoring exploits were instrumental in the Hammers’ success.
Giving Soucek one more season and then assessing the situation next summer makes the most sense for all parties at present.
His current deal runs until the summer of 2024 with the club holding the option of an extra year.
