West Ham United talent Pierre-Emmanuel Ekwah will decide his next move
West Ham United talent Pierre-Emmanuel Ekwah will decide his next move entirely, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The Sun journalist was asked on Twitter whether Sunderland are looking to wrap up a deal for the 21-year-old to which he replied – “Entirely up to the player”.
Nixon reported on Patreon on 16 January that the promising midfielder is expected to get game time at the Stadium of Light and that’s why the Hammers have decided to loan him out to Sunderland.

Talent
The youngster joined West Ham United from London rivals Chelsea, and he could be on the move again, albeit on a temporary deal. Ekwah is a highly-rated young talent, but David Moyes cannot give him the game time he deserves.
The senior squad is choc-a-bloc with some top-quality midfielders and even the likes of Flynn Downes are struggling to get regular games.
Moreover, the Hammers are in deep crisis at the moment, and Moyes needs points on board. In such a scenario, he needs his senior players to step up and help the team get out of this mess.

Moyes would abandon any experiment at the moment, and cannot promise Ekwah game time. A move away from the club looks like a sensible decision.
Sunderland are doing fine in the Championship and Tony Mowbray is an experienced manager. Ekwah would do fine under his guidance.
It is up to the player now to make a decision about where he wants to join next, or whether he is happy to stay at the club’s academy. A loan move would be beneficial for his development.
