West Ham United table official offer to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer – Dharmesh Sheth

West Ham United have tabled their official offer to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports journalist has reported that the Irons are now awaiting a response from the French giants, as they look to replace the outgoing Issa Diop this week.

It is shared that the Hammers do have other options they are ready to pursue should an agreement become hard to find with Paris Saint-Germain over the German.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Sheth shared that the Irons had taken their first step in securing a new defender this week.

“West Ham United have made an offer to sign PSG defender Thilo Kehrer,” he wrote.

“West Ham are awaiting a response. They have other options they will pursue if they can’t reach an agreement with PSG.”

No Messing Around.

West Ham United have learned their lessons and are not making the same old mistakes.

Ryan Taylor of the Express has reported that Sevilla are also interested in the German international, so Rob Newman and David Moyes would need to move quickly to win the race.

Only a matter of hours later, here we are with the first official bid being lodged as they look to get a deal done before the trip to Nottingham Forest this weekend.

With Diop on the way out and Nayef Aguerd, Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson injured or building fitness, Moyes currently only has one option at the back.

That is Kurt Zouma, who finished the defeat against Manchester City with Ben Johnson alongside him and that is never ideal having to play someone out of position.

You can see why the club are moving quickly, and hopefully this deal for Kehrer can be wrapped up ASAP.
