West Ham United source shares ‘more pressing’ transfer priority amid Zeidu Sanusi links
West Ham have been linked with a January transfer move for Porto left-back Zeidu Sanusi in recent days, but the right-back position is a more pressing issue in East London, according to Claret & Hugh.
The West Ham news source shared on 27 November that the priority in the summer would be focused on the right-hand side of the back line rather than the left.
It was also suggested that regardless of the question marks over Aaron Cresswell’s future at the club, the form of Emerson Palmieri is so good that any new signing would struggle to take his place.

Other areas should be prioritised
Emerson has emerged this season as the standout left-back for David Moyes’ side and looks to have made the position his own with some top performances, so any replacement for Cresswell should he leave the club would be just that – a replacement for a backup.
Sanusi would be looking to challenge Emerson for that starting spot, and some positive competition is always healthy, but when there are weaker areas on the pitch that need to be focused on, do you really need two top left-backs?
At right-back, for example, would surely be more of a priority given Vladimir Coufal’s age and the inconsistent performances of Thilo Kehrer when asked to play as a backup in the position.

Of course, the striker should be the main priority at the London Stadium in the upcoming transfer window, with Michail Antonio and Danny Ings turning in plenty of underwhelming performances and Moyes not yet ready to trust Divin Mubama, a top number nine could transform this team.
