West Ham seal £19million deal, four-year contract signed – Reliable club source
West Ham United confirmed the permanent signing of Tomas Soucek on Friday.
The Hammers sealed their Premier League status on Wednesday with a 1-1 draw against Manchester United, something which was critical in keeping the Czech international.
Soucek initially joined on loan in January and has majorly impressed under David Moyes at the London Stadium since doing so.
ExWHUemployee has shared the finer details of the deal on his personal Twitter account after it was confirmed.
The reliable club source revealed that Soucek had put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal until 2024 at the London Stadium.
It was shared that the Irons have spent £19million on the midfielder, and based on what he has shown, that is more than worth it.
The 25-year-old has only featured 12 times in the Premier League but is the second-highest performer in the Hammers squad according to WhoScored.
Soucek has completed 2.1 tackles and 1.8 interceptions per game already and is one of those players who appear to be everywhere on the pitch.
On top of that, only three players in the West Ham squad have averaged more shots than the midfielder – one of the reasons he has popped up with three important goals in recent weeks.
Moyes has got it spot on with his two latest signings in Soucek and Jarrod Bowen, and if the summer transfer window continues at this rate, Irons fans will be delighted.
