West Ham United sack update as David Moyes lifeline given
David Moyes could be sacked if results do not improve at West Ham in their next three league games following defeat to Brentford, say the Daily Mail.
The Hammers made it five defeats in a row when Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva scored at the London Stadium in a 2-0 win, leaving West Ham one point above the relegation zone having played more games than all the teams around them.
But despite that, the board are still backing the manager and have no plans to make any changes yet, although poor results in the next three games could change that.

“West Ham are standing by manager David Moyes with the board having given him their support after their fifth consecutive Premier League defeat by Brentford on Friday.,” they wrote.
“Yet Moyes is aware that he faces the sack if results do not improve with West Ham taking on Leeds, Wolves and Everton – all sides in the bottom six – in their next three league games.”
Poor decision
West Ham are in real danger of relegation if this form continues and waiting for another three games to make a decision is just poor leadership from the board.
Even if West Ham go on to win the next three and then lose a host in the following games, we’ll still be in trouble and Moyes will still not be the right man to take this club forward.
As it stands he has taken the club as far forward as he can, and we will be thankful for a long time for how he helped us avoid relegation when he returned and took us to a European semi-final.
However, now it’s time for him to go and all the board are doing is delaying the inevitable by waiting on making a decision rather than doing it now while there is still lots of time to turn things around for a new man.
This league form goes beyond this season, with the whole of 2022 being absolutely awful domestically, and there is no reason to believe it will be changing any time soon while he is in charge.
