West Ham United: Richard Keys shares what Bernardo Silva said after Man City goal
Bernardo Silva scored quite an odd goal against West Ham United as the Hammers held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw.
The Portuguese midfielder opened the score at London Stadium with an attempt that looked to be a hybrid of both a cross and a shot.
The effort had left Mads Hermansen scrambling, and unfortunately, it did put the away side into the lead on Saturday evening.
However, it would not be long before the Hammers equalised as Konstantinos Mavropanos levelled the score minutes later with a thumping header.
Now, Richard Keys posted about footage which emerged following the game on whether Silva even meant to score in West Ham’s game against Man City.

What has Richard Keys said about Bernardo Silva’s goal against West Ham?
Doubts have been surrounding the goal that Silva scored, and footage has emerged which appears to show the midfielder admitting it was accidental.
Keys has shared the video and has interpreted the Man City midfielder to state that he did not mean to score. Additionally, he also looks to have told the City bench that it was a pass.
The TV pundit iterates that he is not surprised one bit, as it was an effort that not even Lionel Messi would attempt to score from.
Keys said: “‘I didn’t mean it….’ Of course, he didn’t. Messi wouldn’t have tried that.”
The fact that Silva’s cross had drifted into the net will make Nuno Espirito Santo feel unfortunate. The Irons defended valiantly, and it took a stroke of luck for their clean sheet to be taken away.
Hermansen, who was excellent against City, will also feel disappointed to not pick up a fifth clean sheet of the season.
However, while Nuno did play down the point won against Pep Guardiola’s side, it has put West Ham in a much better position for survival.

Why the West Ham defence should feel proud after Man City draw
If it weren’t for that slice of luck for City, then we could be here talking about one of the best clean sheets West Ham have secured in recent history.
The Irons were battered with shots and simply could not get out of their own half for much of the game. City ended the match with 71 per cent possession, 24 shots and 40 touches in the Hammers’ box.
Each and every one of the defensive players on the pitch was excellent, and it was a real team effort by all involved.
With that unity, survival is not an outside chance but a real possibility for the E20 outfit. The point has certainly done no harm.
