West Ham United relegation verdict shared by Keiran Gill amid David Moyes ‘fears’
Daily Mail journalist Kieran Gill claims that lifting the Europa Conference League trophy is the “only way” West Ham can save their season.
The Hammers have endured a miserable Premier League campaign under David Moyes, with only goal difference keeping them out of the relegation zone.
But they are into the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League, with silverware in that competition Moyes’s saving grace this season.

“Winning the Europa Conference League is the only way to save West Ham’s season and David Moyes fears the club’s fight for Premier League survival will get in their way,” Gill wrote for the Daily Mail.
“Moyes wants his players to use their next two games – Newcastle at home on Wednesday and Fulham away on Saturday – to steer themselves clear of the relegation race.
“West Ham could then focus on their trip to Gent in the quarter-final first leg in Europe.”

Turbulent times
The Hammers have it all to do in the coming weeks, with two huge Premier League clashes against Newcastle and Fulham coming up before their trip to Belgian outfit Gent in the Europa Conference League.
It remains to be seen exactly how Moyes will chop and change his squad for those matches, with the West Ham manager having the unenviable task of trying to be successful in both the league and in Europe.
West Ham fans will be desperate for silverware, and Moyes will be licking his lips at the idea of being the manager to deliver it, but he will also be very wary of potentially being the boss to relegate the Hammers to the Championship.
Even one win from the meetings with the Magpies and the Cottagers would be huge in the fight for survival in what is one of the most competitive relegation battles in Premier League history.
