West Ham United push Jesse Lingard for answer amid transfer development

West Ham are “pushing” Jesse Lingard for an answer as they look to bolster their forward department, according to ExWHUemployee.

Writing on his Patreon on Friday (15 July), the reliable source has suggested that Lingard is still one of the options being considered by the club.

On Friday, The Athletic journalist, David Ornstein reported that Lingard is set to make a decision on his future next week.

The England international is now a free agent after his contract with Manchester United had expired. He is not keen on moving to the MLS but the attacking midfielder is considering an option from Saudi Arabia.

Of course, West Ham would love to have him in the side after he impressed whilst on loan previously.

Bolstering the forward line is a priority for the Hammers, and Lingard would be a good addition to the club.

West Ham are looking at other options like Armando Broja and Gianluca Scamacca, and they are not entirely reliant on what Lingard might do next.

The offer is on the table, and it’s upto Lingard to make a decision.

If earning more money is a big issue for him, then surely the £10 million per year ($11.8million) from Saudi Arabia is going to tempt him.

However, if he really feels that he wants to play in the Premier League and get himself into the England squad, then moving to West Ham would be ideal for him.

In any case, he is set to make a decision shortly. As far West Ham are concerned, even if they sign Lingard, the club must continue to bring the aforementioned strikers at the London club.
