West Ham United: Piers Morgan endorses journalist’s Declan Rice Arsenal claim

In typical Piers Morgan fashion, he has endorsed a claim about Arsenal potentially signing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.

The controversial journalist is often outspoken on Twitter, as well as everywhere else, and he has now backed a claim suggesting that the Gunners, the team he supports, should sign the current Irons captain in the next few days.

NBC broadcast journalist Wilfred Frost is also an Arsenal fan and put out a message on Twitter calling for Arsenal to make an approach for the 23-year-old England international.

“Phenomenal start to the season for Arsenal – no complaints in terms of our recruitment this summer (& last few windows in general),” he said. “But we missed Partey yesterday. We should sign Declan Rice. We’re top. They’re bottom. We could pull it off.”

Morgan quote tweeted the message by simply saying, “I endorse this message,” which prompted many supporters of several clubs to beat down his suggestion.

Morons

You would expect this kind of nonsense from Morgan who probably thinks Lionel Messi would have to sit on the bench to let Bukayo Saka play at the Emirates but Frost should know better.

As a man in the industry already, he should be aware that Arsenal is not really any kind of upgrade on West Ham right now even if they are top after four measly games against newly-promoted sides and mid-table fodder.

The tough games will soon start to come for Mikel Arteta’s side and then they will crumble down the league table like throwing a rock off a cliff and Rice definitely won’t be going then.

Let’s not forget that the England international wants to play Champions League football so why would he go to Arsenal if that is the case?

Under David Moyes, the Hammers have just as good a chance of reaching the top four as they do which makes a move elsewhere in London a complete waste of time.
