West Ham United: Pablo Fornals blasted for what he did in draw v Bristol City by BBC pundit
Tony Brown blasted Pablo Fornals for what he did in the second half of the West Ham game against Bristol City on Sunday (7 January).
Speaking on co-commentary for BBC Radio London on Sunday (3:30pm), the pundit said it was a “really poor” cross from the Spanish international as he played the ball straight into the arms of Robins keeper Max O’Leary.
He added that he didn’t understand how the 27-year-old could get his delivery so wrong as he was under no pressure to pick out one of his teammates inside the box, with the Hammers held to a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup clash at the London Stadium.

“A really poor cross,” said Brown. “I mean, no pressure, time to pick your spot, technically you’re a good player. Not sure how you get it that wrong. It was such a poor cross in a decent position.”
Not good enough
It was yet another performance from Fornals that simply wasn’t good enough as he failed to show why he deserves more minutes in the West Ham side.
The midfielder has gone well off the boil over the past couple of seasons, so it’s no surprise whatsoever that the club are believed to be open to selling him this month.
He’s started the past two games with Mohammed Kudus heading off to play for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations and has done very little to suggest why he should have a future at the London Stadium.

The incident in question against Bristol City was another poor piece of play from a player who is supposed to provide an attacking influence for the Irons.
There simply can’t be any way that he continues to start games for us moving forward because, although he has been a good servant for the club, he just isn’t good enough anymore.
